CurrencyIQ (“the App”) is a currency converter that shows exchange rates, charts, and central-bank rate insights. The App does not require an account and is designed to work without collecting personal information. This policy explains what data the App processes.
The App does not ask for, store, or transmit your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or any other personal profile data. Your settings, favorite currencies, and cached exchange rates are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
To display exchange rates, charts, and policy-rate data, the App sends anonymous requests to public data services (Yahoo Finance, Bank for International Settlements, and public exchange-rate CDNs). These requests contain no personal identifiers, though your IP address is technically visible to those services as part of any internet connection.
The App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. Google may process your advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads. Where required (e.g., EEA/UK), a consent form is shown before ads are requested, and you can review your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy options. Purchasing “Remove ads” disables all advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and ad-personalization controls at https://adssettings.google.com.
The optional “Remove ads” purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. The App never sees or stores your payment details.
The App relies on the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Because all app data lives on your device, uninstalling the App removes it. The App has no server-side database and cannot access, restore, or delete data remotely.
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “Last updated” date.
